
I was born and in
Richmond, Virginia; growing up in Richmond's northside area of Lakeside.
Graduated from Mills
E. Godwin High in 1998 where I served as captain of the wrestling team.
I have both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Virginia Tech
- Bachlor of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning (2002) and
Master's of Public Administration (2004).
I served as the
senior planner for Fluvanna County from May 2004 to January 2007. I
have been the planning and zoning administrator for Cumberland County,
Virginia since February 2007. I am a resident of Fluvanna County where
I am a member of Seay's Chapel United Methodist Church serving as a
council member and trustee. My wife Kristen and I were married at Seay's
Chapel in July 2007. As a hobby, my wife and I raise bantam feather-footed
chickens and maintain a nice-sized vegetable and fruit garden at our
home in Palmyra.
I also collect and
restore vintage radios and phonographs from the 1920s to 1940s and reseach
my family genelaogy which includes the Sorrell, McNaught, Winston and
Boyd lines.
